Wambling Gamer Podcast #11- Sayonara Joe

On July 7, 2010, in Podcast, by Nick Coffman

Adios, sayonara, adieu, aloha, lebewohl and goodbye Joe. Well, not really. Joe, being an actual adult, has moved onto getting high-paying and successful jobs with amazing and pleasurable glittering opportunities opening to him at every turn, like a erotic theme park fun-house with a vagina-shaped house of mirrors. And he’s getting paid. So he doesn’t have time for us, more specifically he doesn’t have time for the game of the week. If we can get him on, we will, because we love him. If we can’t, we’ll bury our sorrows in convoluted metaphors based in genitalia-roller coasters. Ahem…

This week’s news is all about the little guys like Twisted Pixel, the XBLA and Microsoft. Ok, it’s mostly about the little guy. We also talk awesome dudes (and 2 dudettes), that we’d love to share a metaphorical cigarette with on a rooftop and why GTA:SA will always be the most broken/addictive game of 2002-2005. The game of the week is Rayman, which we all felt the need to cheat on, and is admired at length. A lot of fun had by all.

Show notes, as well as at least 3 sexy ladies, after the break.

Direct download, maybe? Ok then.

That said, I have been trying to deal with a couple personal “Megatonz” and have been hard-pressed to really write. I’ve been reading like crazy, I just have been finding it almost cripplingly difficult to commit myself to any one activity. I also fell behind on showering and teeth brushing, as my girlfriend can attest. As a sort of retcon for the wasted week of big news I present the top 5 list of goings-on at the annual Game Developers Conference with relevant links to Joystiq, a legitimate news organization not fighting with bouts of depression.
