Wambling Gamer Podcast #15- Happy Birthday to us

On August 4, 2010, in Podcast, by Nick Coffman

No, this isn’t our one year, anniversary. This week is our birthday episode in that both of us have officially survived one more revolution around the sun. So, you know, it’s our birthday. Talk washes all around this ep, starting in San Andreas, taking a pit stop in Limbo, hanging out in Hyrule and finishing off in Trials. A lackluster top 10 list actually reveals a top 8. News is faint and depressing. After the sweet tunes we get on about my least favorite game so far, Metal Gear Solid. Sorry Kojima-philes, I can’t hang. Max talks it up enough for both of us. Next week’s game is a bit of a mystery, even to me, but play along anyway. Notes and contact info after the break.

Maybe you’d like to download it instead?

Wambling Gamer Podcast #14- Howie doin’?

On July 28, 2010, in Podcast, by Nick Coffman

The first, and in my mind most important thing, to happen this episode, we now know how to begin the show. You’re all little monsters. Not Howie Mandel/Fred Savage style, Portal 2 style. This week’s show is fun, talking about how, without any good reason I continue to play Zelda and Max trudges through even more San Andreas. Top 10 list was a doozie, Licensed Games. In a feat of best-friendsmanship we both guess the other’s #1 pick. Then talk of news, mostly just Capcom fighters and Shank‘s imminent arrival. After the break we have Zelda talk and a promise to keep it to a minimum and we go on. Deets and all that after the break.

We Download, you know, directly.

Wambling Gamer Podcast #11- Sayonara Joe

On July 7, 2010, in Podcast, by Nick Coffman

Adios, sayonara, adieu, aloha, lebewohl and goodbye Joe. Well, not really. Joe, being an actual adult, has moved onto getting high-paying and successful jobs with amazing and pleasurable glittering opportunities opening to him at every turn, like a erotic theme park fun-house with a vagina-shaped house of mirrors. And he’s getting paid. So he doesn’t have time for us, more specifically he doesn’t have time for the game of the week. If we can get him on, we will, because we love him. If we can’t, we’ll bury our sorrows in convoluted metaphors based in genitalia-roller coasters. Ahem…

This week’s news is all about the little guys like Twisted Pixel, the XBLA and Microsoft. Ok, it’s mostly about the little guy. We also talk awesome dudes (and 2 dudettes), that we’d love to share a metaphorical cigarette with on a rooftop and why GTA:SA will always be the most broken/addictive game of 2002-2005. The game of the week is Rayman, which we all felt the need to cheat on, and is admired at length. A lot of fun had by all.

Show notes, as well as at least 3 sexy ladies, after the break.

Direct download, maybe? Ok then.
